swoppp! does not ask you to create an account, and you can finish the whole game without giving us anything. Your progress is stored on your device. You can optionally take a restore code so it survives a new phone, and separately leave an email to be told once when the mobile apps are out. If you choose to share a result or a clip, it goes only where you send it.
Level progress, stars, best moves, daily results, streaks and your settings, in your browser's local storage or the app's local storage. Deleting the app or using "reset progress" in settings erases it.
The web version at swoppp.app and the native apps collect anonymous gameplay events (for example: which level was played, whether it was cleared, session length) and error reports, to balance the game and fix bugs. Each device gets a random ID stored on the device. These events are not linked to your name, email, contacts or precise location. They are stored with Supabase in the EU (Frankfurt), in Werk Studios' own analytics, no IP address is stored, and they are deleted after 12 months. Versions played on Poki or CrazyGames send us no analytics.
The free native apps show ads through Google AdMob. Ad providers may use a device advertising identifier to limit repetition and measure performance. On iOS we ask permission through App Tracking Transparency; on Android and in the EU/UK we ask for consent before personalised ads. You can decline; you will still see ads, they will just be less relevant. "Remove ads" is available as a one-time purchase.
Purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We never see your payment details.
When you finish the daily puzzle on swoppp.app without boosters or a revive, your run is sent to the leaderboard automatically: the lines you drew, the game version and your device's random ID. The server replays the lines to work out and store your score, moves and stars. You can add a display name from the result screen or in settings, or stay anonymous. The server adds your country, looked up from your connection, to show your rank in your country. It does not store your city. This is kept on our servers hosted by Netlify and Supabase until you delete it. Other players see the display names and scores of the top entries. Your country and random ID are never sent to other players. You can change your name, or delete every leaderboard entry from your device, at any time in settings.
Your levels, stars and settings normally live only in your browser, so clearing your browser data or switching phone loses them. If you want to avoid that, you can ask for a restore code. We store your saved progress and a one-way hash of that code — not the code itself, so nobody who obtained a copy of our database could read your progress or anyone else's. No email address is needed, and there is no account and no password. Keep the code somewhere safe: it is the only way back, and we cannot recover it for you. Write to privacy@swoppp.app with your code and we will delete the saved progress.
You can separately leave an email address to be told once when the iOS and Android apps are released. The box is unticked by default, it is not required to save your progress, and we record the exact wording you agreed to and when. We send nothing until that release — there is no newsletter, no confirmation email and no other use. You can withdraw at any time by writing to privacy@swoppp.app. We do not sell or share your address.
swoppp! is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the age required by your country), and we do not ask for or store your age. The web version shows no ads; in the native apps, personalised ads depend on the consent the platform asks for.
You can access, correct or delete any data we hold by writing to privacy@swoppp.app. EU/UK residents have the rights set out in the GDPR; California residents have the rights set out in the CCPA.
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and note it in the app.
